Biographie
Miriam Kacerova is a Principal Dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet, distinguished by her expressive artistry, emotional depth and remarkable versatility across classical and contemporary repertoire. Born in Trnava, Slovakia, she trained at the Dance Conservatory in Bratislava and graduated from the Académie de Danse Classique Princess Grace in Monaco before joining the Stuttgart Ballet in 2005, where she was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2014.
Her repertoire includes a wide range of leading roles, among them Giselle, Tatiana in Onegin, Julia in Romeo and Juliet, Anna Karenina, Marguerite Gautier in The Lady of the Camellias, Desdemona in Othello, and Katharina in The Taming of the Shrew. She has also performed roles such as the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, as well as many other solo roles spanning both classical and contemporary repertoire. She has worked closely with some of the most influential choreographers of our time, including Jiří Kylián, Johan Inger, William Forsythe, Marco Goecke, Heinz Spoerli, David Dawson, Christopher Wheeldon, Christian Spuck, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Mauro Bigonzetti, Jorma Elo, Douglas Lee, Demis Volpi, and Edward Clug, several of whom have created roles specifically for her.
Her repertoire further includes works by leading choreographic voices such as John Cranko, John Neumeier, George Balanchine, Kenneth MacMillan, Jerome Robbins, Hans van Manen, and William Forsythe, whose iconic works she has brought to life on stage.
Kacerova’s stage presence is defined by a rare combination of technical precision, musical sensitivity and profound dramatic authenticity, establishing her as a distinctive and compelling voice on today’s international ballet stage.
